As the title implies, Sailor in the Wild follows the adventures (I guess you could say) of a US marine on vacation in and around the Big Bear Lake area of California. Many of the outdoor sequences were filmed around the actual location, but in mid summer.
The "story" involves a young marine (Brian Thompson) on leave. He goes to visit friends and treks through a forest.
This was a stunning outdoor extravaganza with new kid on the block Bill Henson (not to be confused with Mike Henson). The cinematography was quite good considering this was a low budget compared to Hollywood mainstream movies.
