It is a helpful book, but I also recommend Set Theory by M. Pieper.
Paul Halmos's book is the best introductory text to set theory. Halmos is very skilled at presenting complicated ideas in terms that anyone can understand and enjoy.
I first read this book (cover to cover) in 1975. I bought a second new copy in 1990, which I still use in my investigations.
